Natatorium Upgrades

Pre-construction roof core samples indicated that some minor roof repairs would be needed.  However, when removal of the skylights started, it was evident that an entire roof replacement would be best before renovating the pool surface and deck. By delaying the roof replacement to a later date, we would risk damaging the pool and deck surfaces in addition to impacting another swim season instead of one.

While replacing the roof, some construction defects were discovered in the parapet wall. We determined that it was in the best interest of safety to replace the parapet wall. These two unexpected projects have had long design and material lead times, which pushed the completion date from October 2025 to May 2026. In the end, we will have a modern, safe and relevant natatorium for our students and staff.

Pool is expected to be substantially complete by the middle of May 2026.

This is the new mechanical room addition to the natatorium.   It houses the HVAC unit that will keep that natatorium at around 82 degrees for our swimmers.
