NOTEBOOK: Keep all notes, labs, quizzes, etc. DO NOT throw anything away until the end
of the year.
READING: You will be expected to read allassigned chapters of the book that are listed in
the syllabus. If you choose not to complete the reading, you will fall behind
very quickly and it will be reflected in your understanding of the material and in
Your grade! You MUST keep up!
GRADES: Tests and projects will counted as Major grades (65%). Study guides, flashcards, quizzes, and other labs and assignments will be minor grades (30%). Any assignment that is strictly done at home as "homework" will count (5%).All labs, study guides, or flashcards turned in at least one day early will have 5 extra credit points added.
ABSENCES: If you are absent, you need to call another student in class to find out what you
missed and are expected to be prepared for the next day....that means that you
should take your book home every night. It is your responsibility to make up
all missed assignments, tests, labs (if possible) before or after school.
RE-TESTS: Re-tests may be available for students with test grades below 70. They will
cover the same material, however the format will be of the Fill-in-the-Blank
type test.
CELL PHONES: Must be turned off at all times!! If you have your cell phone in view during a test, you will be considered cheating and will be given a "0" for the test
Note: No hairspray, or perfume, or smelly lotion is to be applied in this classroom unless it is provided by the teacher or it is unscented!
