Google Classroom is a way teachers upload and communicate assignments with their students. Students must join their teacher's classroom by locating the codes in the documents below and joining their classroom. Some teachers have classrooms separated by class period and some choose to have one classroom in which they will upload their assignments. Please make sure to choose the appropriate classroom and teacher and join only their class. This will make it easier to communicate with your teacher and vice versa.
Using Google Classroom on your home PC
Using a Chrome web browser, login using your student's school email (student id@student.tmisd.us) on the top right corner where the grey person icon is located.
Once logged in, hit the google apps (9 dots on the right next to your initial or login picture) and find Google Classroom. Once signed in, you will need your teacher codes to join their class. Click on the plus sign on the top right hand and enter your teacher's class code. Once you have joined your teachers' classes you can go back and read any past messages and assignments your teacher has uploaded.
Downloading Google Classroom app on your phones or devices
Search Google Classroom in your device's store. Download the app and sign in using your student email address from school (student id@student.tmisd.us) and use their password.
Once you have downloaded and signed in, you will need your teacher codes to join their class. Click on the plus sign on the top right hand and enter your teacher's class code. Once you have joined your teachers' classes you can go back and read any past messages and assignments your teacher has uploaded.
You can communicate with your teacher through the stream feed. Reminder that your behavior on the feed will be monitored and you will be muted if we feel that you are not following correct online guidelines. Remember to keep communication to the assignment in hand.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email your teacher for help.
