1st 6 weeks - Check for understanding, pretest, establish baseline knowledge of World Geography

2nd 6 weeks - Finish covering North America
- Freedom week, class discussion/notes on the Bill of Rights, Constitution, & American
Revolution
- South America
3rd 6 weeks - Europe
- Russia
4th 6 weeks - Sub-Saharan Africa
- N. Africa & SW Asia
5th 6 weeks - East Asia
- South Asia
6th 6 weeks - Oceania
- Australia
Attendance If you are absent, it is your responsibility to make up any missed assignments or copy any missed notes. Even if you are absent for a school trip of some kind or family emergency, you are still responsible for missed work. You have 3 days to make up a day of missed assignments. If you know you are going to miss a class inquire as to what you will be missing.
Grading Policy
District guidelines will be followed in relation to the grade distribution in this class. Assignments will be broken down into two (2) categories.
Minor Assignments = 35%
Major Assignments = 65%

*There will be a MINIMUM of 6 MINOR grades and 3 MAJOR grades.

*Students or parents may check current grades at any time by accessing the gradebook portal on the district webpage, contacting the teacher during his conference period, or by email.
