Foundation receives generous grant from H-E-B Tournament of Champions

The Foundation gives a big thank you to the H-E-B Tournament of Champions Charitable Trust for its $2,500 contribution to  our annual campaign..  The funds support innovative classroom projects that enhance education for students at Tuloso-Midway ISD.    "We are grateful to the H-E-B Tournament of Champions and their dedication to education in our community," said Michelle Flower, Foundation director and member of the donor committee.

The tournament was established in 1986 when Decker Food Company asked H-E-B Grocery Co. to invite a few of their market vendors to play in a golf tournament and donate the proceeds to Special Olympics Texas.  Over the past 39 years, this event has raised millions benefiting Special Olympics Texas and other worthwhile organizations that focus on children, youth and education throughout the State of Texas.  In 2003 the H-E-B Tournament of Champions Charitable Trust was established and the event became a 501(c)(3) tax exempt private foundation.
